1. The Commission shall monitor annually the
implementation of Horizon 2020, its specific programme and the
activities of the EIT. That monitoring, which shall be based on
quantitative and, where appropriate, qualitative evidence, shall include
information on cross-cutting topics such as social and economic
sciences and humanities, sustainability and climate change, including
information on the amount of climate related expenditure, SME
participation, private sector participation, gender equality, widening
participation and progress against performance indicators. The
monitoring shall also include information on the extent of funding for
public-private and public-public partnerships, including Joint
Programming Initiatives. The monitoring of funding for public-private
partnerships shall, where appropriate, be undertaken in close
consultation with the participants.
2. The Commission shall report and make publicly available the results of that monitoring.
